Sawdust is a most common material for making biomass pellets. If your material are wood logs, branches, barks etc, you can first shred them into sawdust. The suitable material size for making pellets is about 3-5 mm, the resulting moisture can be about 12%-24%, so you need to dry them with a dryer to the requirement.
